  • So, it's true:)

When you pray to God you should be VERY specific...lol!

    *sigh*

OOOOHhhh and I get to go to the Celebrate Recovery Summit in Lake Forest, CA at Saddleback Church this August. I'm so very excited that God has provided for me to go. In 2005 I went to the Worship Conference at Saddleback and it was such an AMAZING experience! I'm so excited to be able to experience the Summit this year and get some training.

For those of you that don't know...I am VERY involved in Celebrate Recovery at our church. At the beginning of this year I joined the leadership team. After completing my 12-steps I felt God calling me to be a part of this ministry. Friday nights is where God started to build my passion for this ministry. I had a first hand experience in watching women's lives change. I would sit at my open share group table and weep with the ladies who were making decisions for Christ, themselves, and their families. God has used it in such an amazing way in my life personally, and since I'm living, walking proof that God can heal your hurts, help you overcome your hang-ups and help you get rid of habits I know this is where he wants to use me. I spent 13 months working on my 12 steps, working on me, with Christ by my side.

Hi! My name is Leslie and I'm a grateful believer in Jesus Christ who struggles with anger and codependency. I'm currently facilitating a women's step-study group (going through the steps AGAIN--God's revealing a lot of new things I hadn't dealt with the first time and making me deal with some things I refused to deal with last time...lol) and serve on our Celebrate Recovery worship team. I am also leading the Welcome table for women on Friday nights. This is a one time attendance group where newcomers (women) on Friday can learn about Celebrate Recovery and experience a "mock" open-share group and have a place where they can ask questions. Sort of the "Welcome Committee". Hehe...I think it fits me! :)

Well, I really do hope someone is reading this! LOL!
